Invasion
Beginning on September 21, 2005, ABC aired Invasion, an American science fiction television show that ran for a single season. Similar to Body Snatchers, the episode depicted how water-based monsters invaded a tiny city in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and began replicating its citizens. With the help of Warner Bros. Television and Shaun Cassidy Productions, the show came to be. ABC hastily yanked early on-air promotions due to Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath in the southern United States in 2005. Adverts then shifted their focus entirely to the extraterrestrial invasion and left out any mention of Hurricane Katrina. The premiere was also preceded by a warning that viewers could be sensitive to the show's use of imagery of a fake hurricane.
