I'm Alan Partridge is a situation comedy that aired on the BBC and starred Steve Coogan. The show ran for a total of twelve episodes over the course of two seasons, the first of which aired in 1997 and the second in 2002. The show followed the titular character, Alan Partridge, who was a failed television presenter whose previous exploits had been featured in the chat-show parody Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge and who is now presenting a programme on local radio in Norwich. The show was titled "Alan Partridge." Both series were written by Peter Baynham, Steve Coogan, and Armando Iannucci. Felicity Montagu played Coogan's faithful, mouse-like personal assistant, Lynn Benfield. Simon Greenall portrayed Geordie Travel Tavern handyman/BP garage attendant Michael, and Phil Cornwell played disc jockey Dave Clifton. It has been given positive reviews by reviewers as well as fans, and it was also shortlisted for awards from the Royal Television Society, three BAFTAs, and two British Comedy Awards.
