Alcatraz
Alcatraz is a television series produced by J. J. Abrams and Bad Robot Productions that was created by Elizabeth Sarnoff, Steven Lilien, and Bryan Wynbrandt. The show debuted as a mid-season replacement on Fox on January16, 2012. The series shifts between eras, focusing on the Alcatraz prison, which was purportedly closed down in 1963 owing to unsafe conditions for its prisoners and personnel. The concept of the show is that both the prisoners and the guards vanished in 1963 and then reappeared in modern-day San Francisco, where they are being pursued by a federal agency. Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Sam Neill, and Parminder Nagra appeared in the series. On May9,2012, the show was canceled.
