Pépé le Moko
French criminal Pépé le Moko lives in Algiers's Casbah neighborhood, where he hides out. if he tries to leave the city, the police will be waiting for him, so he doesn't want to. When Pépé meets Gaby Gould, a beautiful woman from Paris who is lost in the Casbah, he starts to fall in love with her, too. She also reminds him of all the things he likes about Paris, which makes him happy. Inspector Slimane is following Pépé even though he knows that Gaby and Pépe will be together for a long time to come.
