An evil queen banishes the beautiful princess Giselle from her magical, musically animated land, and she finds herself in the gritty reality of modern-day Manhattan's streets. Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world in desperate need of enchantment, having been shocked by this strange new environment that does not operate on a "happily ever after" basis. But when Giselle falls in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who comes to her aid - despite the fact that she is already engaged to a perfect fairy tale prince back home - she has to wonder: Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
