'Fear Factor' is an American sports stunt/dare reality game show. When it was first shown, it ran from 2001 until 2006. On May 13, 2012, it was canceled for the second time in less than three years. A two-part special was shown in July 2012 following the show's second cancelation. It was originally titled "Now or Neverland" in Dutch. For the American market in2001, Endemol USA and NBC changed the name to Fear Factor. For a cash prize of around$50,000, the show puts competitors against one another in various stunts. Up until Season Six, the players on the show were split into four teams of two persons, each of which had a pre-existing relationship with the other team member they were competing against. J. Rupert Thompson served as director of photography, while Matt Kunitz served as executive producer.
