In "Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta," a modern take on the Jane Austen classic, we follow Reverend Bennet (Reginald VelJohnson, "Family Matters"), the pastor of a prominent southern Baptist church, and Mrs. Bennet (Jackée Harry, "Sister, Sister"), the author of a self-help book on how to find the perfect husband. Mrs. Bennet is not happy that all five of their daughters are still single: Lizzie (Tiffany Hines, "Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart"), Jane (Raney Branch, "Being Mary Jane"), Mary (Brittney Level, "The Purge"), Lydia (Reginae Carter, "Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta"), and Kitty (Alexa Bailey). When the very eligible Will Darcy (Juan Antonio, "Empire") comes to town, Mrs. Bennet sets her sights on the handsome bachelor for her daughter Lizzie. This leads to a modern, funny take on themes that fans of the novel will recognize.
