Misty Button
New York's Irish lair culture, shown in this dark comedy by an unrepentant heist gone wrong, is evoked by the story's account of a caper gone bad. On a for-hire trip to the racetrack on behalf of Timmy Thomas, James, who has recently burned his final bridge and is now without a job and a wife, teams up with Eoin. An amateurish attempt at connivance goes horribly wrong when two boys who aren't even familiar with poker make a huge mistake and end themselves in deep financial debt to a whole gang. Now there's a whole new viewpoint to consider when it comes to James's suitor: a confident woman with an affinity to the sound of Irish accents and an appetite for dollar bills!
