War of the Buttons

The youngsters of Ballydowse and Carrickdowse fight in conflicts where they cut off their captive opponents' buttons, shoelaces, and underpants. To get the lads in trouble with their parents, they do this. They fight in large groups of dozens, throwing stones and chopping off their opponents' buttons, among other things. They also go into battle naked and uncovered on occasion. In one scenario, 30 boys return after a battle to a barn-house to celebrate their win, only to find several girls waiting for them, and they get very embarrassed at having their privacy invaded.
