Young Dracula

Young Dracula is a British teenage horror drama television series that airs on CBBC. It is partially based on Michael Lawrence's children's book Young Dracula AND Young Monsters. The first series, directed by Joss Agnew, aired in2006, and the second, which began in late2007, ended in early 2008. A third series was commissioned three years later and premiered on October 31, 2011, followed by a fourth on October 29, 2012. The first two seasons follow the Dracula family, a vampire family consisting of Vladimir, his father Count Dracula, and Vladimir's older sister Ingrid. After living in Transylvania, they relocate to Stokely, a small town in Wales, following a series of episodes involving violent peasant mobs. It was shot in a number of places in Wales, including Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf, Caerphilly Castle, Tretower Court, and sections of Llantrisant. The third series, which was commissioned three years after the second, has Vlad and the Count fleeing both vampires and slayers, while the Count is keen that Vlad fulfill his destiny as "the Chosen One." This series was shot in Liverpool in2011, in places such as the decommissioned Margaret Bevan School, Croxteth Hall, and Stanley Docks. The fourth season picks up where season three left off, with a new director at the lead.
