Unchained Reaction

Unchained Reaction is a reality game show about science and engineering that airs on the Discovery Channel. Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who are best known for hosting the science-based entertainment show MythBusters, judge and run the show. The first episode of the show, which debuted on March18,2012, pitted two teams from different backgrounds against each other to build a complicated machine with a chain reaction. Teams are given the same tools and materials and have five days to build a series of machines based on a theme that has already been decided. Halfway through each week, the teams are given a surprise "missing link" item that they have to add to the middle of their machines. Savage, Hyneman, and a special guest judge choose the winner.
