The six-part series follows journalist Hannis Martinsson (Ulrich Thomsen), that suddenly receives a message from Sonja, a young Faroese lady who claims she is Hannis' daughter and that her life remains in threat. Reluctantly returning house to the Faroes to examine, Hannis uncovers Sonja's body in the bloody waters of a whale search.
