By taking over the Tribal Police Forces in the four Indian Reserves that surround the city, federal authorities hope to keep their political faces clean by portraying themselves as inclusive and collaborative. As Interim Tribal Chief, Samantha Woodburn must navigate the Metro Police's old-boys' club and establish her mettle. She's thrown into a new and foreign world, and she has to deal with her new colleague, Chuck "Buke" Bukansky, a seasoned but worn-out Metro Police detective. It covers First Nation criminal stories based on actual world cases, such as mistaken identification, pipeline controversy and healing lodge justice as well as social services and tobacco.
