Triangle

A BBC soap opera from the early 1980s, Triangle was set on a North Sea ferry traveling between Felixstowe and Gothenburg, and subsequently from Gothenburg to Amsterdam. Third fictitious leg between Amsterdam and Felixstowe existed to explain the program's title, but this was not operated by ferry business. The show was canceled after three seasons but is still recognized as "some of the most mockable British television ever made." As a result of the scripts, the show became the subject of several jokes on Terry Wogan's morning Radio 2 show, which resulted in some embarrassment for the BBC as a whole. BBC aired the first episode of Triangle as part of its TV Hell program in 1992, which was a night of programming devoted to television's worst. It was MS Tor Scandinavia from Tor Lines that was used in the inaugural season. Dana Anglia was used in the second and third seasons because she had a less hectic schedule and was able to spend more time in port, which made on-board filming more convenient.
