Touched by an Angel

The first episode of the American drama series Touched by an Angel aired on CBS on September 21, 1994. The show went on to air a total of 211 episodes over the course of nine seasons before coming to an end on April 27, 2003. The show was conceived of by John Masius and is produced by Martha Williamson. Roma Downey plays the role of an angel named Monica, and Della Reese plays the role of her supervisor Tess. Throughout the course of the show, Monica is entrusted with the responsibility of communicating messages and advice from God to a variety of characters whose lives are at a turning point. They are frequently accompanied by Andrew, the angel of death, beginning with the third season forward.
