The Rookie

The Rookie, formerly known as The Rookie: CTU in its first two seasons, is an internet-exclusive webisode series broadcast in 2007 and 2008 that follows the lives of a new CTU agent, Jason Blaine. It is a spin-off of the television series 24. The series closely resembles 24 in that it employs many of the same devices. For instance, at the opening of each episode of "Day," Jason Blaine provides a voiceover informing the audience of the time period in which the series takes place. Additionally, each episode begins with a "Previously on The Rookie" segment, again narrated by Jason Blaine. The splitscreen is frequently utilized to display telephone calls and to conclude each episode. However, the event does not occur in real time.
