The Oblongs

The Oblongs is a teenage- and adult-oriented American animated television series. It is loosely based on a cast of characters introduced in the picture book Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children by creator Angus Oblong. The theme music for the show was composed and performed by They Might Be Giants. The series was produced by Jobsite Productions and Mohawk Productions in conjunction with Warner Bros. Television. The thirteen episodes of The Oblongs aired on The WB from April 1, 2001 to May 20, 2001, and subsequently on Adult Swim from August 25, 2002 to October 20, 2002. The possibility of a series rebirth with new episodes on Adult Swim has been mentioned, but no further details have been disclosed. On October 4, 2005, all thirteen episodes of The Oblongs were released on DVD.
