The Monkees

The Monkees is an American situation sitcom that ran from September 1966 to March 1968 on NBC. The show depicts the exploits of four young men attempting to make it as rock 'n' roll singers. In1967, the show earned two Emmy Awards for introducing a number of revolutionary new-wave cinematic techniques to series television. The show finished its second season on Labor Day,1968, and has had a long afterlife in Saturday morning repeats, syndication, and international broadcasts.
