The Day of the Triffids is a British television series that has been running since 1981 on the BBC in the United Kingdom. The novel, which was written in 1951 by John Wyndham, was adapted by Douglas Livingstone, and each of the six episodes of the half-hour show was directed by Ken Hannam, produced by David Maloney, and featured original music composed by Christopher Gunning.
