The Cape

The Cape is an American drama TV show that was made for syndication during the 1996–1997 TV season. It has elements of science fiction, action/adventure, and drama. The Cape told the story of some of the NASA Astronaut Corps at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with a focus on their personal lives as they trained for and went on Space Shuttle missions. Corbin Bernsen plays USAF Colonel Henry J. "Bull" Eckert in the show. Eckert is an experienced astronaut who, at the beginning of the show, was in charge of training astronauts. Later in the show, he also had to be Chief of the Astronaut Office. The show was shot in and around Cape Canaveral, Florida, with a focus on being real. Buzz Aldrin, who was an astronaut, also worked as a technical consultant.
