The first season of the American comedy "Thanks" aired on the CBS television network from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on Monday nights. The show ran for a total of six episodes. The Winthrops were a Puritan family living in Plymouth, Massachusetts in the 17th century, and this program examines the struggles that they faced during that time period. The names of several of the characters come from historical figures such as John Winthrop, who was the well-known governor of the initial Bostonian Puritan society, and John Cotton, who was another notable Puritan religious leader.
