Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is the eleventh edition of the Scooby-Doo animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera, and the first to not air on Saturday mornings. The series, which is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network, premiered in the United States on Cartoon Network on April 5, 2010, with the following twelve episodes continuing and the first episode running again on July 12, 2010. The series concluded on April 5, 2013, after two seasons and a total of fifty-two episodes, or twenty-six episodes per season. Mystery Incorporated returns to the early days of Scooby and the gang, when they were still solving mysteries in their hometown, despite making several references to past incarnations of the franchise, including numerous cases and monsters from the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! The series takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to the original Scooby-Doo formula, with more bizarre technology, skills, and settings comprising each villain's story, and a different spin on the famous "meddling youngsters" line at the end of each episode. Contrasting this are two features that have never been employed in a Scooby-Doo series before: a serial format with a continuing story arc involving many dark plot elements treated with near-total seriousness, and ongoing relationship tension between the protagonists.
