Science of Stupid

This presentation blends serious science with some of the most bizarre, amazing, and traumatic user-generated clips ever captured. Richard Hammond uses bespoke cartoons and super slo-mo cinematography to showcase a variety of catastrophes involving heroic, if foolish individuals from all around the world, and then explains the science behind their failure and humiliation. Between 50 and 60 examples of misadventure— regular people making amazing mistakes–are featured in each episode. Every week, watch feats requiring weightlifting, shooting weapons, or jumping over automobiles that have gone wrong, then pause, rewind, re-play, and analyze what went wrong and why. Richard first discusses the physics, chemistry, and biology at work, before going into forensic detail to explain why the experiment failed. He'll look at everything from weight to volume to momentum to combustion to how the brain works. This is a description of a misadventure. The Science of Stupidity is a field of study that deals with the study of stupidity.
