Salute Your Shorts
Salute Your Shorts aired from 1991 to 1992 on Nickelodeon and in reruns until 1999. It's based on Steve Slavkin's 1986 book Salute Your Shorts: Summer Camp. The series was set in Camp Anawant to, filmed at Franklin Canyon Park and Griffith Park Boys Camp in Los Angeles. It's about teenage campers, their severe and dictatorial counselor, and their antics. The title derives from a camper prank: raising a boy's boxer shorts on a flagpole. As a prank, other youngsters saluted them when they waved like a flag.
