Route 66
Two young men went across the United States in a Chevrolet Corvette in the American television series Route 66. From October 7, 1960 until March 20, 1964, the show aired weekly on CBS on Fridays. Martin Milner portrayed Tod Stiles, while George Maharis played Buz Murdock for the first two and a half seasons. Throughout the majority of the third season, Maharis was ill, and Tod traveled alone. Tod traveled with Lincoln Case, portrayed by Glenn Corbett, from the conclusion of the third season through the end of the fourth and final season. Me-TV, My Family TV, and RTV are presently airing the series. Among the most famous parts of the series were the featured Corvette convertible and the theme song, which became a major pop hit.
