Sarah Lancashire and Phil Davis play detectives Rose Linden and Maloney for the fictitious Criminal Justice Review Agency in the British crime drama Rose and Maloney. This organization investigates allegations of wrongful convictions and decides whether or not to reopen closed cases. Rose has a lot to offer, yet she can be stubborn and careless at times, despite her intelligence. She has trouble dealing with authority since she prefers to go with her gut and act on hunches. Maloney is Rose's boss, but he usually follows the lead of his more zealous employee. Maloney follows the rules and is a bit drab. Working with Rose is exciting and risky for him, but he can't stop thinking about it. On September 29, 2002, ITV showed the pilot episode. In July of 2005, a trio of pieces followed. Tara Fitzgerald, Danny Dyer, Tiana Benjamin, Andrew-Lee Potts, and Neil Dudgeon, to name a few, were just a few of the many actors and actresses who appeared in the show throughout the course of its many seasons.
