Ripper Street

A play that takes place in the East End of London in the year 1889, during the time period after the "Ripper" murders. The infamous H Division, also known as "the police precinct from hell," is at the center of the action. This police station is tasked with maintaining order in the disorderly streets of Whitechapel. Ripper Street examines the lives of characters who are attempting to recover from the legacy left behind by Jack the Ripper, from the atrocities that have not only irrevocably changed their lives, but the very fabric of their city as well. At the center of the drama are the detectives' efforts to bring some brightness into the murky milieu in which they operate.
