Profit
Profit is an American television series that debuted on the Fox Broadcasting Company on Monday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in 1996. Adrian Pasdar portrays the titular character, Jim Profit, in the series produced by David Greenwalt and John McNamara. In February 2008, Chiller began showing episodes in the United States. Across October 2010, CBS Action began showing programs in Europe. Considered by many to be ahead of its time, the show paved the way for subsequent edgy television series such as The Sopranos, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and The Shield. Subversive themes coming from the immoral deeds of the main character made the series unappealing to mainstream viewers and Fox network affiliates, which ultimately led to the series' cancellation. Profit scored fourth on TV Guide's 2013 list of 60 shows that were "Canceled Too Soon" and was described as "shockingly memorable."
