One Summer
By Willy Russell and directed by Gordon Flemyng, the 1983 British television drama One Summer was written and produced by Willy Russell. Two 16-year-old lads from shattered homes in Liverpool, David Morrissey and Spencer Leigh, run away to Wales one summer. This film also featured Ian Hart and James Hazeldine. Channel 4 aired the series in five 50-minute segments from August 7 to September4, 1983. In April1985, ITV aired a rerun of the episode.
