My Hero

Paul Mendelson is the brains behind the BBC series My Hero, which he created. The first episode of the show aired in February 2000, and the final episode aired in September 2006, bringing the total number of episodes to six. The shenanigans of the dim-witted superhero "Thermoman," who was portrayed by Ardal O'Hanlon in the first through fifth series and by James Dreyfus in the sixth and final series, are chronicled throughout the show. John Stroud directed multiple episodes throughout the course of the series. The program is routinely repeated on the digital channel Gold in the United Kingdom, despite the fact that the most recent season has not yet been broadcast on the channel. PBS and, for a short time, BBC America broadcast it across the United States of America. Repeats of the first three seasons were broadcast on UKTV in Australia, while BBC Entertainment was responsible for broadcasting them in Scandinavia.
