Martin

Martin is an American sitcom that aired on Fox for five seasons, from August 27, 1992, to May 1, 1997. It was made by HBO Independent Productions. The show is named after and stars actor and comedian Martin Lawrence. Tichina Arnold, Thomas Mikal Ford, Carl Anthony Payne II, and Tisha Campbell also have roles on the show. During its five seasons, Martin was one of the most-watched shows on the Fox network, which was becoming more and more popular during the 1990s. In the 1990s, NBC's "Must See TV" was popular on Thursday nights, but many African Americans and Latinos watched Fox's lineup of Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover on Thursday nights. In fact, these were the three shows that black households watched the most during the 1996–1997 season.
