Madison is a Canadian television teen drama series produced in Vancouver by Forefront Entertainment Group and shown in 88 countries across the world. It aired on Showcase and YTV in Canada from 1998 to 2002 after a run of 65 episodes on Global TV Network from 1993 to 1998. Madison was an adolescent drama with 30-minute episodes. The series dealt with genuine life difficulties faced by teenagers and provided practical solutions. The series, initially titled 'Working It Out at Madison,' was designed for classrooms as a learning aid, but networks fell in love with its gritty story lines and superb acting. In1995,1996, and1997, the producers were nominated for Best Dramatic Series at Canada's Gemini Awards for exceptional television. Madison had a fantastic cast who went on to have successful performing careers: Joely Collins, then22, received Canada's "Best Actress" Gemini Award in 1996. Barry Pepper went on to appear in 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'The Green Mile' with Tom Hanks, 'Enemy of the State' with Will Smith, and 'The Kennedy' in2011, winning an Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Mini-Series for his portrayal as Bobby. Will Sasso, another Madison actor, was a regular on 'MadTV' for several seasons before being cast as Curly in the 2012 film adaptation of 'The Three Stooges.' Enuka Okuma is an actress who has been in the television series'24' and is currently a regular cast member on the cop drama 'Rookie Blue.'
