Lockie Leonard is an Australian children's television series based on the Lockie Leonard books, which debuted on the Nine Network on 19 June 2007. The television series was shot in Albany, Western Australia. In2009, a second season was filmed, and in2010, it aired in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Lockie Leonard is distributed by the Australian Children's Television Foundation and was created by Goalpost Pictures Australia. Jebediah performs the theme song "Worlds Away." Lockie Leonard debuted in the United Kingdom on September27,2008, as part of the long-running children's Saturday morning program TMi, which airs from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on BBC Two. CBBC Channel continued to air the series after the initial 12 episodes. The show was awarded the 2008 TV Week Logie Award for Best Children's Series, while Sean Keenan was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent. It won the Best Children's Drama Series award from the AFI in 2007. Additionally, the series was nominated for the Best International Children's Drama Series BAFTA Award in 2007.
