Jim Jefferies is an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia in his mid-30s who lives in LA. He is trying to make his life and career more "legitimate," but it is a hard, uncomfortable uphill battle every step of the way. Steve, Jim's neurotic best friend and roommate, is a cyber-law library salesman who is struggling to stay on his feet after a divorce. Steve's brother Billy, who is in a wheelchair because of advanced stage Muscular Dystrophy, encourages Jim in his quest.
