In Living Color ran on Fox from April 15, 1990 to May 19, 1994. Keenen and Damon Wayans developed, wrote, and starred. The show was taped before a live studio audience at stage 7 at the Fox Television Center in Hollywood, California. The series' title was inspired by NBC's 1950s and 1960s announcement of "live color" broadcasts. It also refers to the show's largely black cast, unlike Saturday Night Live's mostly white cast. Kim, Shawn, and Marlon were regulars, while Dwayne was an extra. Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, and David Alan Grier also starred. The Fly Girls included Rosie Perez, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Jennifer Lopez. 1990 Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.
