Kohei Kuryu used to be a teen criminal, but he dropped out of middle school and went on to get a high school equivalency diploma. Kuryu becomes a prosecutor after he passes the law board exams. Kuryu is not a typical prosecutor, which is clear from the way he dresses. He has quick instincts and a kind of smarts that only someone who grew up on the streets could have. Maiko Amamiya is a smart public prosecutor who wants to pass the test to become a deputy public prosecutor and does everything she can to get her boss's attention. Kuryu, on the other hand, is moved to Amamiya's division after getting a reputation for doing great work. This gives him a chance to finally think about being promoted. Unfortunately, his strange behavior at work stops everything in its tracks. Even though Kuryu has a reputation for being a bad apple, his strong desire for justice is slowly changing the world around him.
