After finally divorcing her bad-boy husband, Brett Butler played a single mother struggling to cope with raising her three children alone. Chuck Lorre conceived the show, which was produced by Carsey-Werner Productions. The most popular new comedy of the 1993–1994 season was Grace Under Fire.
