CBS broadcast the American sitcom Family Affair from September 12, 1966, to September 9, 1971. It debuted on September 12, 1966, and ran for nine years. Bill Davis, a well-to-do civil engineer and bachelor, sought to raise his brother's orphaned children in his luxurious New York City apartment in the series. Cissy, 15, and the 6-year-old twins Jody and Buffy put a strain on Mr. Giles French as he had to deal with the additional burden of caring for the two young girls. The show aired 138 times during the course of its run. In addition to My Three Sons and The Millionaire, Don Fedderson conceived and produced Family Affair.
