Faerie Tale Theatre

Faerie Tale Theatre is a live-action television anthology series for children that retells well-known fairy stories. Shelley Duvall acts as the program's narrator, host, and executive producer and occasionally appears in episodes. Tall Tales & Legends utilized the same style as Faerie Tale Theatre and concentrated on great American folk tales. Both programs feature well-known performers and directors and were inspired by Shirley Temple's Storybook, a children's television program. From 1982 until 1987, Faerie Tale Theatre initially aired on Showtime. It subsequently broadcast as edited reruns on the Disney Channel as well as in syndication on PBS and BookTelevision, among others.
