Dramarama

ITV aired the children's anthology Dramarama from 1983 until 1989. It had science fiction or supernatural drama. The programme was created by Anna Home, then head of children's and youth programming at TVS, but production was split among regional ITV franchise holders. So each episode had its own cast, crew, and executive producer. Dramarama was a launching pad for Anthony Horowitz, Paul Abbott, Kay Mellor, Janice Hally, Tony Kearney, David Tennant, and Ann Marie Di Mambro. It was Dennis Spooner's last credit. One of Dramarama's episodes, "Dodger, Bonzo And The Rest," became a series the next year. It starred Lee Ross and focused on a foster home. "Blackbird Singing in the Dead of Night" was adapted into Children's Ward. CITV's 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend was the first time it had shown since 5 January 2013. "Back To Front" from Series 7 was broadcast on 6 January 2013 as part of CITV's 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend.
