Doug is an American animated sitcom that was made by Jim Jinkins and Jumbo Pictures, which is also his studio. The show makes fun of a lot of things, like puppy love, bullying, and rumors. Doug's attempts to date his classmate Patti Mayonnaise are at the center of a lot of episodes. Doug was first shown in the United States of America on Nickelodeon. It, Rugrats, and The Ren & Stimpy Show were the first three Nicktoons. They all started at the same time on August 11, 1991, and they all ended on January 2, 1994. After Disney bought Jumbo Pictures in 1996, the series aired on ABC as part of the block of shows called Disney's One Saturday Morning. The second series started on September 7, 1996, and ended on June 26, 1999. It was turned into a movie, which came out on June 26, 1999. In 2011, the Nickelodeon show was added to TeenNick's The '90s Are All That block, which had just started airing at the time.
