Developed by Sega, Dinosaur King is a card-based arcade game based on the Mushiking gameplay elements, but with dinosaurs instead of beetles as your opponents. The Japanese and English versions of the game were shown off during JAMMA 2005. In North America, there is also a Nintendo DS version. Upper Deck Company launched a Dinosaur King Trading Card Game in the fall of 2008. You won't find these cards in arcade machines, so don't mix them with this card game. Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King DKidz Adventure, an anime series based on the manga series, premiered on TV Asahi on February 4th, 2007. The CW4Kids block of The CW began airing the English-language adaption on September 6 of that year, however it had previously aired on the Fox Network's 4Kids TV block. A sequel, "Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King DKidz Adventure: Pterosaur Legend," was announced, which premiered in Japan on February 3, 2008. Late in 2008, the show's run in Japan came to an end.
