Dennou Coil
Denn Coil, Coil— A Circle of Children is a Japanese science fiction anime television series set in the near future, when semi-immersive augmented reality technology is just getting started. The story is set in the fictional city of Daikoku, which is a hub of AR development with a growing virtual infrastructure around the city. It follows a group of kids as they utilize augmented reality glasses to solve the mysteries of a half-real, half-virtual metropolis, manipulating the digital terrain with a variety of unlawful software tools, techniques, and virtual pets. Denn Coil, a series directed by Japanese animator Mitsuo Iso, has been in development for over a decade. On May 12, 2007, it aired for the first time on NHK Educational Television. Denn Coil was eagerly anticipated because to the animators that worked on it and the exceptionally high-profile television broadcast time slot.
