On the day that Itsuki is graduating from high school, his cousin Mahiru reveals to him that she is expecting a child. At that very moment, a portal of light opens up and ushers the two travelers into the world of Granvania. In this region, something known as "Impurities" has been wreaking havoc on the Stars, which has ultimately resulted in Granvania devolving into anarchy and disarray. And because it has recently come to light that Itsuki is one of those who is destined to meet with the "Star Maidens," she is regarded as Granvania's final hope, and as such, she has been tasked with the responsibility of producing "Star Children" and battling the "impurities." And if the mission is not accomplished, Itsuki may never be able to go back to her family again.
