Cat's Eye

Cat's Eye is a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Tsukasa Hojo. It was published in Weekly Shnen Jump from 1981 to 1985, and Shueisha put it into 18 tankbon. The story is about the adventures of the three Kisugi sisters, Hitomi, Rui, and Ai. They are art thieves who are looking for their missing father's paintings. The manga was made into an anime series that first aired on NTV from 1983 to 1984. The second season ended in 1985. It has also been made into two live-action movies: a TV movie in 1988 and a movie for theaters in 1997. Cat's Eye is one of Weekly Shnen Jump's best-selling manga series of all time, with more than 18 million copies sold. The anime has also been shown in a number of countries outside of Japan, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Philippines, and China. In 2007, ImaginAsian showed the first season of the first anime on ImaginAsian TV. After that, the series got its first home video release in North America. Right Stuf Inc. said in 2013 that they had licensed the series and would put it out on DVD under their Nozomi label. A new manga version of the series by Shingo Asai, also called Cat's Eye, started coming out in the first issue of Coamix's Monthly Comic Zenon anthology, which came out on October 25, 2010.
