Beyond the Boundary

The protagonist of this grim fantasy is a sophomore called Akihito Kanbara who attends a high school in Japan. Although the youngster gives off an appearance of being human, he is actually part Youmu and possesses the ability to heal swiftly from any injuries he sustains. One day, Akihito comes across the first-year student Mirai Kuriyama just as it appears that she is ready to leap off the rooftop of the school. Because her talent to manipulate blood is frowned upon by those who are a part of the spirit realm, Mirai is forced to live a hermetic existence. Following Akihito's successful rescue of Mirai, a series of unsettling occurrences start to take place.
