Behind Closed Doors
Behind Closed Doors is a Cold War-era drama series hosted by Bruce Gordon, who plays Commander Matson. The NBC series broadcast from October2,1958, through April9,1959. It focuses on how the erstwhile Soviet Union obtained American missile technology and suggests methods to prevent future espionage. Behind Closed Doors is based on the archives and experiences of Rear Admiral Ellis M. Zacharias, who comments on each episode. Screen Gems' Behind Closed Doors replaced Jackie Cooper's The People's Choice, following NBC's Twenty-One, and preceded The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show. Its rivals were ABC's Pat Boone Chevy Show and CBS's Zane Grey Theater.
