During the back-end of the 19th century, the brilliant but socially uncomfortable engineer Sorano Appare as well as the wise yet afraid samurai Isshiki Kosame find themselves wandering in the sea between Japan and also America. Without money, the duo choose to enter the Trans-America Wild Race to win the cash prize so they can obtain house.
