Another World

Another World was an American television soap opera that aired on NBC from May 4, 1964, to June 25, 1999, for 35 years. "We do not live in this world alone, but in a thousand other worlds," announcer Bill Wolff stated in the early years of the show, which Phillips said highlighted the distinction between "the world of events we live in, and the world of sentiments and dreams that we strive for." Another World focuses on exotic melodrama between families of different classes and ideas, rather than the typical home conflict featured in other soap operas.
