American Muscle Car is a weekly television show that airs on Speed and is all about muscle cars. The show is produced by Restoration Productions LLC. In each episode, a timeline of each vehicle's history is presented, beginning with the vehicle's debut year of manufacture and ending with the vehicle's most current year of production. Originally, the show was intended to highlight classic muscle automobiles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, and Dodge Charger. It later incorporated other performance vehicles such as the Shelby Cobra and the Chevrolet Corvette, and it even began to focus on specific eras such as the Corvette Stingray. These additions came about as a result of the company's expansion. Even went so far as to produce a special that was devoted to the final 1967 Corvette Stingray model. The emphasis of the show shifted during the 2006 season to feature the designers and engineers who worked on muscle cars. During the 2007 season, the focus of the program shifted to incorporate vintage races as well as powertrain components.
